Services & Facilities

A listing of services and facilities at the Lakehouse and in the surrounding area.

The house

The house overlooks Bevan's Lake and is close to the town of Arundel, 20 minutes south of Mont Tremblant and 90 minutes northwest of Montreal. (See directions).

The cottage has the following:
5 bedrooms (4 Queen sized beds, one children's room with three single beds)
Two full bathrooms with shower etc.
Sleeping space in finished basement for kids
Bbq, microwave, freezer, fireplace, firewood

There is no tv/vcr or dishwasher. This is a rustic cottage (ie old and slightly worn) so do not expect a Tremblant Condo. But when you see the view.....ah the view.
Summer time: there is a pebble beach with a raft that you can swim from. The lake is very nice and clean, but the cottage is not ideal for younger children (high balcony, steep access to rocky beach).
The ground floor has a large living room/dining room area with a grand fireplace and large windows providing a beautiful view of the lake. There is a large kitchen off the living room.
The basement has a recreation room (with table tennis) with a large window overlooking the lake. In addition there are two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, and an additional area with large freezer, second fridge, and a washer-drier.
A door from the recreation room gives out to a path to the a small beach right below the house. The lake is pristine and clear. Is is some 4 mile long and 1 mile wide and is good for sailing and wind-surfing.

The Arundel Post Office building was the former CN railway station which was restored and relocated to this site on Doctor-Henry Road. This Post Office serves rural delivery of mail to Barkmere, and local routes within the Arundel community and Montcalm. Post Mistress: Lynn Nickle Lynn Nickle became Post Mistress of the Arundel Post Office on January 20, 2008. She began working for Canada Post in September 1998 and enjoys the challenge of meeting everyone's postal needs. She feels right at home here in Arundel, as she is originally from a small rural town, where you can get to know your neighbours. The added bonus of working in the original Canadian National Railway station lured her here from St. Sauveur as she comes from a railroading family. She will be pleased to help you mail almost anything to almost anywhere in the world. Open Hours : Monday - Friday 8:30 - 12:00 and 13:30 - 17:15. Located at : 14 Doctor-Henry Road, Arundel, (Quebec) J0T 1A0 Telephone : 819-687-1478
